Meet the Class of 2024 Miss St. Agnes Court

On Saturday, February 3, we will hold the annual Miss St. Agnes dance at the Memphis Botanic Gardens. That evening, the member of the Class of 2024 that has been chosen as Miss St. Agnes will be announced.

Miss St. Agnes is a special honor bestowed annually since 1946 on a senior who has been nominated by her classmates and voted on by the student body. The nominees for this honor exhibit personal qualities that reflect integrity, strength of character, and respect for self and others, as well as a devotion to St. Agnes Academy that is exemplified by leadership and support for the school. 

Congratulations to all the young ladies who have been nominated to the 2024 Miss St. Agnes Court: Lauren Brown, Clarice Cox, Elaina Farm, Emily Farm, Lizzie Kobler, Bridgette Nguyen, Lilly Sobalvarro, and Avery Turner.

Lauren Brown

Lauren has served as a class officer for three years, in the role of president for the last two. She has been an active member of the SAA Theatre Department since her freshman year, playing numerous roles in both musicals and straight plays. In 2023 Lauren won an Orpheum High School Musical Theater Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her role as Davey in the 2023 SAA production of Newsies. Lauren is a member of the International Thespian Society and has donated her time in the summers as a camp counselor for our Curtain Up! Summer Musical Theatre Camp.

Clarice Cox

Clarice contributes to the SAA and greater Memphis communities through her participation in the Forever Friends Club, Angels Among the Stars, and Eco Stars Clubs. She has taken her passion for service to Hawaii and Kenya through her participation with Moondance community service partners. She is a member of the Pep Club, Beta Club, and Stars in Business, and has served as class Spirit Week Coordinator. Clarice was awarded the Caroline Conrad “Crushed It” Spirit Award for going above and beyond assisting others in the community. She was awarded the Saint Catherine of Siena Award for living out the Dominican Pillars in her daily life.

Elaina Farm

Elaina currently serves as co-president of the Pep Club and is a member of our varsity volleyball team. She volunteers each summer at youth volleyball camps and has also coached middle school students at the Memphis Volleyball Academy. Elaina is a member of the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society, the National Beta Club, the St. Agnes Ducks Unlimited Varsity Chapter, and serves as a Retreat Leader. She has been awarded the Saint Catherine of Siena Award and the Dominican Torch Award for living out the Dominican Pillars in her daily life.

Emily Farm

Emily serves as co-president of the Pep Club and is a member of the varsity volleyball team. She was named team MVP two years and served as captain for three years.  She volunteers at summer youth volleyball camps and has coached middle school students at the Memphis Volleyball Academy. Elaina is a member of the Beta Club, the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society, and the National English Honor Society, of which she serves as president. She was awarded a gold medal for her performance on the National Spanish Exam. Emily has served as her class Field Day Coordinator for three years.

Lizzie Kobler

Lizzie has been a class officer every year throughout high school, and she currently serves as Senior Class Vice-President. Lizzie is a member of the varsity lacrosse team and was voted MVP for the ’22-’23 season. Lizzie has donated her time as a volunteer coach for the Rising Stars Lacrosse League. She is the Vice President of the National English Honor Society, as well as a member of the National Latin Honor Society, the National Beta Club, and Latin Club. Lizzie is also a member of the STEM club and HOSA Club, serving as the club secretary.

Bridgette Nguyen

Bridgette is an active member of the SAA Ladies First vocal group and the Theatre Department. She received an award for academic excellence in the Media Arts. She is a member of the National Beta Club, the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, and the Spanish Honor Society as well as the Spanish Club and Book Club. Bridgette participates in TNTT, the local chapter of the Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement, whose purpose is to train youths to become well-rounded individuals and mature christians. She was awarded the Saint Catherine of Siena Award for living out the Dominican Pillars in her daily life.

Lilly Sobalvarro

Lilly is a member of the National Beta Club, the Key Club, and the National Honor Society. She was named a National Merit Commended Scholar for her performance on the PSAT. This is Lilly’s third year competing as a member of the varsity lacrosse team, and she was named team MVP in 2022. Lilly has served the school and community as a Retreat Leader, a Student Ambassador, a Peer Mentor, and member of Forever Friends. She has been the  Spirit Week Coordinator for her class for three years. Lilly has also been an active member of the SAA Liturgical Choir for three years.

Avery Turner

Avery has competed on the St. Agnes soccer and lacrosse teams since her freshman year. She was awarded the Elizabeth Ehrlicher Commitment to Excellence Award for excelling in multiple sports.  Avery currently serves as Design Editor for the SAA yearbook The Aquila. Her original art was featured on the cover of the Junior Ring Ceremony program and will be featured on the Class of 2024 Senior Day program. She has served the school as a Retreat Leader for Lower and Upper School students, a Teacher Assistant, and a Student Ambassador. She is a member of the Pep Club, EcoStars, Forever Friends Club and Ducks Unlimited Varsity Chapter.
