The Annual Fund
Many of the things we all love most about St. Agnes Academy and St. Dominic School are directly driven by gifts to the Annual Fund. Your Annual Fund gift allows us to address our highest priorities, meet unforeseen challenges and seize opportunities as they arise because unrestricted dollars can go where they’re most needed. For example:
- Classroom materials like beakers, books, and displays
- Sets for plays, sheet music, tap shoes, paint, and more
- Soccer balls, field chalk, transportation to playoff games
- New technology like upgraded computers and materials to build robots
When we come together as a community to support The Annual Fund we provide the school with unrestricted possibilities. The more we give, the more choices the school has in what it can provide to our children. This is why we are asking you to Be Part of Something Big and join us in giving generously to the Annual Fund.
Every year, we strive for 100% parent participation in the Annual Fund. Last year, we reached 70% participation. Every gift matters – no matter the size. A high level of participation among our school families is a tangible demonstration of our community’s belief in the school and its mission.

Alumnae/i play an important role in providing the support St. Agnes Academy – St. Dominic School needs to live out its mission.
Currently, 9% of over 4,000 living alumnae/i make philanthropic gifts to the school.
Gifts can be directed to an area of interest to you – whether it be arts, athletics, science or financial aid. You can also make your gift in honor or memory of a favorite teacher, coach or classmate.

The Annual Fund is the most essential fundraising effort at St. Agnes Academy – St. Dominic School and involves all members of the community. It provides the vital difference between what is ordinary and what is extraordinary about the SAA-SDS experience.
The Annual Fund ensures that St. Agnes – St. Dominic has the resources it needs to prepare our students to be leaders rooted in faith – from the classroom to the library, from technology instruction to the playing field, from the theatre stage to the art student, from PK2 to senior year.
The Annual Fund supports the resources essential to our program and has a direct and positive impact on all students, faculty, and staff, enriching the experience for all.
Annual Fund dollars are used to respond to the immediate needs of the school – whether programmatically, for professional development or campus upgrades. Recent examples include campus upgrades like a new HVAC system, the access control security system and new campus signage. Program enhancements, such as new science and writing curriculum and mobile maker spaces, are also thanks to philanthropic contributions.

The SAA-SDS fiscal year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30. Pledges are due by June 30. It is important to make a pledge early in the year so that the school knows how much money is available to support the operating budget.
All gifts are fully deductible as allowed by law.
Certainly. The Annual Fund’s focus is on unrestricted gifts because these funds are a very important part of the school’s annual operating budget. However, please let us know if there is a specific project you would like to fund.
Giving is a personal decision for every family. Depending on your family circumstances, a gift could be $25 or $25,000. Our request is that every family participate in whatever capacity they can.
The Leadership giving level begins at $1,000. Leadership gifts makeup over 70% of our total Annual Fund each year and are vital to us reaching our goal.
