Why A Girls' School

Back
"I believe attending an all girls’ school made me more disciplined both academically and personally. The absence of distraction enabled me to focus hard on my studies, and the fact that I was so comfortable in that setting enabled me to more easily develop my true character. Many people in college have asked me how I survived attending an all girls’ high school, and I tell them that it was the best decision I ever made."

Madeline Hanson, SAA Class of 2015, Policy Advisor, Mercy Corps, Washington, D.C.

From PK2-12th grade our teachers focus on how girls learn best, giving our young women a balance of freedom and motivation to reach their full potential. At St. Agnes we know that in an all-girl environment students are more likely to take healthy academic risks, learn through their mistakes, and build resilience.

We are a community of faith, based in Truth, where girls can pursue their God given purpose with boldness and joy.

Hear what our own students have to say about life at St. Agnes Academy:

"Teachers, administrators, and faculty foster meaningful connections and offer support so every student feels a sense of belonging inside and outside the classroom. Each class, assembly, and sisterhood activity starts with prayer, reminding us daily about our faith connection and greater purpose."

"St. Agnes builds the foundation for a sisterhood that empowers students to embrace their authentic selves, extend their experiences, and thrive in high school and after graduation."

"St. Agnes instills in their students a responsibility for their school. Students are involved in many student-led activities such as clubs, SGA, councils, retreats, and masses."

"Traditions (connections across grade levels, food trucks, field day, and spirit week) are very strong with the 4 Pillars of Prayer, Study, Community, and Service strongly woven into the culture."
