Remembering Coach Oyler
22 Nov, 2019
Our St. Agnes-St. Dominic community is saddened by the news that former St. Agnes Academy bowling coach Bill Oyler passed away November 20. Coach Oyler led the Stars for eight seasons. He was dedicated to his team, and under his guidance the St. Agnes Stars won five state bowling titles and seven regional championships. Coach Oyler’s love and support for the girls was evident as he worked to develop both their bowling skills and their character. He earned Coach of the Year honors for four years, and his team posted a perfect season score of 15-0 in during the 2011 season. When he retired, his daughter Vicki Houlihan, took over as head coach of the Stars, and she has continued her father's legacy.
There will be a visitation Saturday, November 23, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Family Funeral Service on Summer Avenue followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. at Memphis Memory Hill Garden. Please keep his family in your prayers.
