Congratulations to our outstanding faculty and staff who received special awards from the Catholic Diocese of Memphis at the recent in-service day. These individuals were nominated by school leadership for their ongoing contributions to Catholic education.

Upper School teacher Angie Brinner was awarded the Immaculate Heart of Mary Award. The recipient of this award is a person whose dedication, commitment, self-sacrifice, and kindness to everyone represent the heart of Catholic education.

SAA K-8 school counselor Britney Dedmon was awarded the Sister Maria Goretti Counseling Award. This award is presented to a counselor whose dedication, commitment, self-sacrifice andkindness to everyone represent the heart of Catholic education.

SAA Lower School teacher Jane Grafton was awarded the St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Award for Innovations in the Classroom. The educator that receives this award has designed and successfully implemented innovative teaching techniques in their classroom.

SAA Upper School teacher Ellie Wills was awarded the St. John Bosco Award for Total Christian Formation of Students. This award is given to an educator in the Diocese that has consistently exhibited the Salesian-charism, the ability to interconnect the spiritual, academic, physical, and social education of students.

The following educators were presented awards in recognition of their dedication and years of service to Catholic schools in Memphis:
