Rose Ceremony 2019...The Tradition Continues
10 Dec, 2018
The St. Agnes Class of 2019 celebrated Rose Ceremony, a time-honored tradition at the Academy!
For over 50 years, the senior class has gathered each fall to honor their mothers and other special women in their lives with the presentation of a rose. This year the Rose Ceremony, held on December 6, included a Scripture reading and beautiful music performed by Ladies First. The seniors shared heartfelt speeches reflecting on how important these women are in their lives and thanking them for their years of love and for helping to form them into the young women they are today. With extended arms, the seniors gave their moms a blessing to end the ceremony:
A Blessing for Mothers
May God, The source of life, give you joy in the love, growth, and holiness of your daughters.
Bless our Mothers. Let the example of their faith and love shine forth. Grant that we, their daughters, may honor them always with a spirit of profound respect.
Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen
