St. Agnes Academy senior Riley McClellan was crowned Miss Saint Agnes 2022 at the school's annual dance held February 26 at the Memphis Zoo. Miss St. Agnes is a special honor bestowed annually since 1948 on a senior who has been nominated by her classmates and voted on by the student body.
The nominees exhibit personal qualities that reflect integrity, strength of character, and respect for self and others, as well as a devotion to St. Agnes Academy that is exemplified by leadership and support for the school. “Riley radiates joy and brightens our St. Agnes community,” said Christine Giles, Senior Class Sponsor. “Her strong character makes her a wonderful role model for her peers and underclassmen alike. Riley's devotion to all aspects of life here at the Academy exemplifies why she is our Miss St. Agnes.”
Riley serves as SGA Vice-President, National Honor Society Treasurer and Latin Club Secretary. She represents SAA as a Star Guide and Peer Mentor and is a member of the Key Club, Beta Club and English National Honor Society. Riley has participated in our Cheer, Swim and Track programs and is active in other clubs such as Forever Friends and Pep Club.
Riley was crowned by alumnae faculty members Julie Montgomery (’98) and Emma Vescovo (’12), both of whom were named Miss St. Agnes their senior year. Class representatives were Aubrey Bubrig (’22), Anna Kate Wade (’23) Clarice Cox (’24) and Mirriam Okafor (’25).
