Abundantly Blessed
10 Sep, 2019
St. Agnes students in grades 1 -6 have come up with a clever way to bless our SAA-SDS community this year. The students have created a Blessings Jar that is overflowing with scripture verses specially selected by each student in the Lower School. Each class is assigned a month to keep the jar full. The jar, with these Blessings from the Stars, is available at the front desk in the St. Agnes hallway to provide an inspirational message. And anyone who passes by - from parents, to students, to the FedEx delivery person to college reps who visit campus – can pick a blessing for the day!
“We thought this would be a fun way to live both our Pillar of Prayer and our Pillar of Community,” said Kathy Boccia, Dean St. Agnes Academy Lower School.
President Hood was the first person to select a scripture verse from the Blessings from the Stars Jar. He picked Isaiah 41:10 which was submitted by Camille Deeney: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
