SAA Alumnae Celebrate 115 th Annual Alumnae Luncheon

Alumnae Association

18 Aug, 2018

Over 100 St. Agnes alumnae recently returned to the Academy to celebrate our
school’s legacy of sisterhood at the 115 th Alumnae Banquet.

The first St. Agnes Academy Alumnae Banquet was held in 1903, and alumnae have been gathering every year since then to celebrate friendships and to welcome the graduating class into the Alumnae Association.

Many classes were celebrating reunions. Alumnae from the Class of 1948 were on hand to celebrate the 70 th anniversary of their graduation from the Academy. The Class of 1968 commemorated their 59 th reunion by making a generous gift to the school, which was used to help fund the recent renovations to the Dining Hall.

At the luncheon, Lindsay Schaffler Piretti, Class of 1998, was introduced as the
2018-2019 Alumnae Association president. Lindsay is a very proud 4th generation SAA Alumna dating back to the class of 1946 on Vance Avenue. Her daughter, Charlotte, who represents the 5th generation of her family, is currently enrolled.

While at St. Agnes, Lindsay was a 4-year member of both the soccer team and the tennis team, and she was named Best of the Preps finalist in doubles. She was also inducted into the French National Honor Society. After graduation, she attended the University of Mississippi where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She graduated from the University of Memphis. She and her husband, Richard, also have a son, Trip, who currently attends St. Dominic School.
